Considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, it is on the Island of Cabo Frio and is accessible only by boat. The trip takes 40 minutes. It is not allowed to make the tracks that lead to the lights without authorization and accompaniment of the Navy. To know, it is necessary to make coordinated visits by the federal agency.
Separated by rocks, at high tide, they saw only one. To get to the place, it is necessary to face a wooden staircase of 255 steps, that leaves of the hill of the Atalaia. The view is enchanting, uncovering the Island of the Lighthouse. It is perfect for diving, being a stopping point for boat trips.
Oceanic, the beach has strong waves that attract surfers and nautical sports enthusiasts. The left corner is urbanized, with kiosks and restaurants by the sea. The frame is formed by dunes of white sand and very thin, covered by coastal vegetation. Around here, the sunset is also spectacular.
A disabled guardhouse, shortly after the entrance porch of Arraial, is the reference to reach the beach – from it, a dirt road with 1 km leads to the sand. Extensive and good for hiking, good for those who seek peace and a calm sea for children. The tents are in the right corner.
Located in a cove, Forno beach is accessible only by boat or 30-minute trail. Besides the preserved forest, clear waters and corals, it also houses a floating restaurant specializing in oysters and seafood. It is 1.5 kilometers from the center.
It is on this beach where are anchored the boats that make the walks through the beaches of Arraial do Cabo. It is located in Enseada dos Anjos and has an avenue along the beach and several residential and commercial buildings, as well as kiosks and restaurants.
Preferred for surfers and almost deserted, Praia Brava has strong waves and is not suitable for bathing. Access is through the Atalaia hill, for a trail of about 15 minutes and it is not advisable to walk on bad weather days. Depending on the time of year and the time of day, the tide covers the strip of sand on the beach – which is only 200 meters long – and it disappears.
One of the most frequented and central of the region, the Prainha is urbanized, has kiosks and calm waters. Its calm waters and more pleasant temperature make it the ideal place for small children. A trail leads to Graçainha beach, only 15 meters away. In the surroundings is Saco do Cherne, point for diving practice.
